The used chemical is of British origin (manufactured by GB THERMA-CHEM Ltd., Scotland, according to EU standards); providing exceptional services for more than 25 years. |
It is a fireside treatment technology applied “on-line” to the steam boilers and heaters to chemically attack the deposits accumulated on radiant section, convective, air pre-heaters, etc.
Therma-Chem can be used for fuels creating fouling problems: heavy fuel oil, refinery fuel gas, coals, lignite. The treatment is done by spraying, periodically, on-line, into the combustion chamber of an aqueous solution Therma-Chem FS-12, through a specially designed dosing/spraying system.

- Reduce/eliminate trouble with slagging and fouling in specific parts of the boiler: radiant cells, superheaters, economizers, air-heaters, etc.
- Eliminate sulphurous deposits and low temperature acid corrosion,
- Eliminate vanadium corrosion and high temperature corrosion,
- Improve boiler and process furnace efficiency,
- Reduce specific fuel consumption,
- Reduce COx, SOx, NOx emissions,
- Reduce or eliminate soot blowing,
- Make boiler much easier to clean.
The application scheme we use, is mostly done in cooperation with our partners Energy Serv. Romania on EPC type (Energy Performance Contracts) at:
- CET HOLBOCA, coal fuel, 2×50 MWe, reducing CO2 emissions by 22,000 t / year;
- CET TURCENI, lignite fuel, 4×330 MWe, increasing energy efficiency and reducing GHG emissions.
